Cruise day 8 / Vancouver 2 day 1

We arrive back at the dock in Vancouver and after breakfast in our room's we disembark without incident. The other side of the port is a bit of a cattle matket but we eventially get a couple of taxis. We're back in the same apartments but on arrival they're still occupied. As if by magic John apears to explain the situation.

We wander down to the beach and on to Granville island. I'm not dressed for the weather as it starts raining and just gets heavier. We take shelter in the first place we can and enjoy elevenses!! After having lunch and wandering around the market, we catch a ferry across the river to town. After a few attempts I manage to draw out some money.

Michelle, Deb and me sit under the heaters outside the Cactus Club Cafe with cocktails and wait for Liz and Paul to come past. A text tells us they slipped by and are in the Elephant and Castle, we drink up and meet them there for more refreshments. Liz, Paul, Deb and myself, go up the observation tower, before getting the bus back to our apartments.

After a wash and change we go back to the Kings Head and then a Chinese resturant before going back to the fish restaurant for another excellent meal
