Day zero arrives
Friday 12th
Pick up hire car £78 from Exeter airport (5th gear) at lunch time, back to work for the afternoon sneak out early, finish packing, down pub, meet Liz and Paul (who’ve been out all day)
home with a Chinese, in bed by 9 o'clock for an early start tomorrow
Sat 13th
Set off at 04:15 pick up Michelle, followed by Liz and Paul, good run to gatwick (except for the speed camera) arrive in Gatwick in just over three hours, drop the car, check in,
find somewhere for a beer.
The flight is on time, (thomas cook) 11:45. Onboard food was ok, seats a little narrow, leg room ok. We got stuck into duty free, but not easy to keep it out of sight. On arrival at vancouver
there's a bit of a wait for immigration, bags arrive after a short wait.
